Workshop participants(aged 10+) will spend 3 days working as a team to build a large shelter in the woods. You will learn proper lashing and hitch knots to construct a safe, long lasting shelter in the woods of Yaleville Farm. We will construct a fire pit and rustic furniture at the new shelter site.
Participants may bring their own hand saw to use(be sure to write your name on it). No hatchets or axes are permitted.
Everyday, please bring:
1. a bag lunch
2. refillable water bottle
3. extra sneakers or boots
4. a hat
5. hand saw if you have one
6. bug spray and sunscreen to be put on by yourself
On Friday, after lunch, the parent(s) is invited to visit the secret site and view the new shelter.
Please call Maryanne if you have questions.
